Booking your date with Jam & Tea:

A non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to secure Jam & Tea for the date of your event.

All bookings are subject to a minimum guest number of x 50.

Jam & Tea reserve the right to cater for more than one single event on the same day.

If Maryanne is not available on the day of your event a trusted and trained member of the team will be in charge.  Full briefing will be given to the team member/stylist and you will be able to meet with them before the event if you so wish.

Booking Deposit

The booking deposit will be deducted from the total event costs which will be issued to the client no later than one week prior to the event (please see our payment terms below).

Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer.

Prop | Linen | Styling Deposit

£100.00 will be added to the total event costs and refunded via bank transfer following the return of all props, linen and styling items in full and undamaged condition.  Any items not returned or in a damaged condition will be chargeable and the additional deposit will not be returned.

Guest Numbers | Children

All bookings are subject to a minimum guest number which will be confirmed by the client at the time of booking (usually x 50 Guests)

After final numbers have been provided to Jam & Tea (at least two weeks before the event date).  We are happy to accept any increases in requirements however no reductions will be possible.

Where children are attending - if over 5 years of age they are payable at the same rate as adults.  If under 5 years of age they are chargeable at an agreed price (subject to minimum numbers mentioned above).

Menu Alterations

If the client has been quoted for specific elements (canapés | welcome drinks | starters | main | pudding | tea & coffee etc) these elements can not be deducted post deposit payment.

Payment of total event costs prior to event

Payment in full is required for all catering services to be provided by Jam & Tea prior to the event.  Final guest numbers must be confirmed to Jam & Tea no later than two weeks prior to the event.

The information provided at this point will be used to produce your total event cost invoice, arrange staff and co-ordinate with your venue.  Once your final bill is received the clients payment must be received no later than one week before the event.

Should Jam & Tea be advised of any increases following payment and less than two weeks prior to the event, Jam & Tea reserve the right to accept these and will raise an additional invoice for these items.  Payment will then be due or immediate settlement by the client.

Cancellation Charges

In the unfortunate event of the booking having to be cancelled confirmation in writing will be required by the client.  Your deposit will unfortunately not be returned and the following charges will be incurred.

1.     Cancellation received with less than six weeks notice prior to the event date - 40% of total event cost.

2.     Cancellation received with less than four weeks notice prior to the event date - 50% of total event cost.

3.     Cancellation received less than two weeks prior to the event - 75% of the total event cost.

The total event cost will be based on the numbers of guests scheduled at the agreed price per head.

Any additional costs incurred by Jam & Tea in preparation of the event up until the time of cancellation will be charged to the client.  This is to cover any losses caused to Jam & tea for administration costs, travel, supplies etc and will be discussed fully in the event of cancellation.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies

Jam & Tea will endeavour to provide suitable adaptions to the clients menu for any guests with specific dietary requirements or allergies.  We cannot however take responsibility for any guests unless advised in advance (no less than 7 days prior to the event).

Although every effort is made by Jam & Tea we cannot be held responsible for any cross contamination be it in our kitchen or the venue facilities.  We use all the allergen groups in everyday preparations.  The client is asked to pass on this information to their dietary requirement guests before the event.

Leftover Food 

Please note that we dispose of any chilled or hot food after the required time limits.  Any 'ambient' food (cakes etc) can be packed away and left for the client if appropriate and at their own risk.  The client must supply their own food containers.

 

Clients Food & Drinks

 

We accept no liability for any food supplied to the client by another caterer (or food supplied by the clients themselves) in addition to those supplied by Jam & Tea.

Where the client has made additional arrangements to supply their own food alongside our offerings Jam & Tea will supply a 'Food Disclaimer' to be signed by the clients no later that 7 working days prior to the event.

Jam & Tea are happy to serve a clients arrival drinks, table wines etc during their event subject to staff fees, please ask for further details.

Linen | Equipment

The client agrees to pay for any loss to any equipment, crockery, cutlery or glassware supplied by Jam & Tea for the event.  This included any damage caused by the clients guests.

Any damaged linen will result in an additional charge payable by the client after the event or taken from their deposit.

Personal Items

Jam & Tea will not be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to any personal effects of the client of gifts brought into the venue by the clients guests.

Liability of Jam & Tea

Jam & Tea accept no liability under any claim whatsoever arising (be it by negligence or otherwise) for any loss over the figure of the existing Jam & Tea Public Liability Limit of Indemnity.  Note that this figure which may change from time to time is available upon request together with a copy of our certificate.

Force Majeure

Jam & Tea shall incur no liability to the client if performance of the contract is prevented or hindered by any case whatsoever beyond Jam & Tea's control and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, by act of fire, flood, subsidence, sabotage, disease/illness, accident, strike, vehicle issues or lock out of venue and shall not be liable for any loss or damage there from suffered by the client.

Payment of the Booking Deposit signifies that you have agreed to our Terms & Conditions.
